About Us

Elim Glorious Ministry is Spirit-filled, non-denominational  with a heart for revival, worship, and reaching all nations with the love of God. While our fellowship began with Tamil believers, we are a family open to people of every culture and background. Our desire is that all who come will encounter God’s presence, grow in faith through His Word, and be equipped to serve others with the joy and hope found in Jesus Christ.

In July 2022, a small group of Tamil believers in Edmonton began gathering for prayer, worship, and fellowship. What started as a simple gathering—later known as Edmonton Tamil Church—became a spiritual home for believers hungry for God’s presence. Although there was no formal pastor at the time, God strengthened the fellowship through unity, prayer, and faith.

During this early season, Joshua Hananiah ministered as a guest preacher, teaching the Word and encouraging the believers to pursue Spirit-filled living. His ministry helped lay a strong spiritual foundation and cultivated a growing desire for revival and a deeper walk with God.

In June 2025, by God’s leading, the fellowship joined the vision and mission of Elim Glorious Ministry, founded by Pastor Joshua Hananiah. Obeying God’s call, Pastor Joshua established a Spirit-filled ministry focused on revival, healing, and reaching all nations. From its Tamil roots, the fellowship embraced a broader calling to serve people of every background with the love and hope of Christ.

From humble beginnings to a Spirit-filled ministry, Elim Glorious Ministry continues to be a place of refreshing—just as the waters of Elim in Scripture renewed God’s people. Our story is not just about us; it is about telling His story—the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ—so that lives are transformed, families restored, and nations reached.

Mission & Vision

Vision

Our vision is to be a Spirit-filled church where lives are refreshed, families are restored, and nations are reached with the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. We envision a church alive with God’s presence—a place of revival and refreshing where people from every culture and generation encounter His love, grow in His Word, and are empowered by the Holy Spirit to carry the message of hope to the world.

Mission

  • Proclaiming the full Gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • Making disciples and equipping believers for Spirit-led living.

  • Transforming lives locally through worship, prayer, fellowship, and compassion.

  • Extending God’s kingdom globally through evangelism and missions.

Statement of Faith

Elim Glorious Ministry -Edmonton Christain Community Church  accepts the Scriptures as the revealed will of God and adopts these statements of fundamental truths and doctrines.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the revealed will of God (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12). It is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and life.

God

There is one true God who eternally exists in three Persons—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All are co-equal and co-eternal (Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7).

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, is the Eternal Word, the only begotten Son of God, and God the Son from eternity (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1,14). We believe in:

  • His virgin birth
  • Sinless life
  • Atoning death
  • Bodily resurrection
  • Ascension to the Father
  • Personal return in power and glory

Man

Man was created in God’s image. Through voluntary transgression, he fell; his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21).

Salvation of Man

a. Redemption: Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross, Jesus provided forgiveness, healing, and new life for all who believe. Salvation comes by trusting in Jesus, confessing Him as Lord, and receiving Him into your heart (Psalm 103:3; Romans 3:24; Romans 10:8-10; Ephesians 2:8).

b. Evidence: The inward evidence is the witness of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence is a life marked by holiness and love (1 John 3:23; John 13:35).

c. Faith: Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ, not by works. Our works show our faith and determine our rewards in eternity (Acts 16:3; Romans 10:9-10; 14:10-12; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; James 2:18).

Baptism and Communion

Baptism in water and the Lord’s Supper are the sacraments of the Church:

  • Baptism: symbolizes a new life in Christ (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4)
  • Lord’s Supper: a remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice (1 Corinthians 11:24-30)

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit dwells in every believer, producing fruit (Galatians 5:22-23) and gifting believers for service (1 Corinthians 12:7-11). The Baptism in the Holy Spirit empowers believers for life and ministry and may occur at the same time as the new birth (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8, 2:38-39, 10:44-46, 11:14-16, 15:7-9; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31).

The Church

The Church is the Body of Christ, and each believer is an integral part (Ephesians 1:22; 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23). God has a unique purpose for every believer (Romans 12:6-12). Some are called to serve in the five-fold ministry offices (Ephesians 4:7-11), while all are called to actively contribute to the life and growth of the Church.

The local church, such as Elim Glorious Ministry – Edmonton  Christian Community Church, is an essential expression of Christ’s Body. When each believer faithfully fulfills their God-given calling—both within the local church and beyond—they participate fully in building up the Body of Christ and advancing God’s kingdom on earth.

God’s Will for Wellbeing

  • Spiritual: John 3:3,11; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10:9-10
  • Mental: 2 Timothy 1:7; Romans 12:1; Isaiah 26:3
  • Physical: Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24
  • Financial: 3 John 1:2; Malachi 3:10-11; Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians 9:6-10
  • Social: Proverbs 3:4

The Great Commission

Every believer is called to actively participate in spreading the Gospel and making disciples of all nations (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:18-20).

The Second Coming of Christ

Jesus will return to gather all His Saints to heaven (1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 2 Thessalonians 2:1). He will return with His saints to reign for a thousand years (Romans 11:25-27; 2 Thessalonians 1:7; Revelation 19:11-16, 20:1-7). Those apart from Christ will face eternal separation from God (Revelation 19:20; 20:10-15). Afterward, there will be a new heaven and a new earth (Revelation 21-22).

Our Commitment

Elim Glorious Ministry -Edmonton  Christian Community Church stands firmly on the Word of God, empowered by the Spirit, proclaiming the full Gospel of Jesus Christ (Romans 15:18-21,29). We gather for Spirit-filled worship with contemporary songs and classic hymns, observe Holy Communion monthly, and practice water baptism by immersion (Matthew 28:18-20).

We affirm Pentecostal outpouring as a present-day experience and pray for believers to receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. We equip believers for ministry through the apostolic and prophetic calling (Ephesians 4:11-12), empowered by the Spirit for healing, deliverance, and miracles.

All believers are encouraged to serve faithfully, pursuing God together and expressing unity in practical ways. “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1)
